TownConnect keeps the public auction experience simple while protecting private bidder and seller information.

1. Check the timing

Upcoming auctions show when bidding starts. Live auctions show when bidding ends and may use a fair-ending extension.

2. Bid the required amount

Each auction has an opening bid and bid increment. The page tells you the minimum next bid when bidding is open.

3. Your bids stay yours

You can see your own bid history when signed in. Other bidders' identities and private bid records are not shown.

4. Reserve amounts stay private

An auction may have a reserve, but the seller's reserve amount is never displayed publicly.

5. Fair ending can extend time

If a bid arrives near the end, a fair-ending auction may extend briefly so other bidders have a chance to respond.

6. If you win

A winning result identifies the auction outcome. The next steps for payment, pickup, or delivery are handled separately after the auction closes.
