These Terms of Service govern your use of TownConnect and its related features, including LocalScope, TownCircle, TownPerks, promotions, notifications, submissions, contact tools, and other community services made available through the platform.

By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

1. Use of the Platform

TownConnect is a community-focused platform designed to support local discovery, participation, communication, events, rewards, and business engagement.

You agree to use the platform in a lawful, respectful, accurate, and community-safe manner.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account.

• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must provide accurate information where required.
• You may not impersonate another person, organization, or business.
• You must not create or use accounts for fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.

3. Age-Restricted Features

Some content, promotions, businesses, events, or areas of the platform may be restricted by age. Where age-gated access is enabled, you agree to provide accurate date-of-birth information and not attempt to bypass access restrictions.

4. Community Conduct

You agree not to use the platform to:

• Post unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, hateful, or misleading content

• Upload malicious code, spam, scams, or disruptive material
• Misrepresent a business, event, promotion, or claim of ownership

5. Listings, Reviews, Posts, and Submissions

LocalScope and related features may allow businesses, events, promotions, claims, reviews, posts, and other forms of user submission. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of any content you submit.

TownConnect may review, moderate, reject, remove, disable, or restrict submitted content at its discretion in order to protect quality, safety, legality, community trust, and platform integrity.

6. Promotions, Rewards, and Gamification

Promotions, coupons, points, badges, streaks, rankings, and other reward-based features may be offered through the platform.

• These features may change, expire, be limited, paused, or be removed at any time.
• Points, badges, rankings, and similar rewards have no cash value unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Fraudulent, automated, deceptive, or manipulative activity may result in loss of rewards or account restrictions.

7. Business Claims and Ownership Requests

If you submit a business ownership claim or other verification request, you represent that the information and proof you provide are accurate and lawfully submitted.

False, misleading, incomplete, or deceptive claims may result in rejection, removal, suspension, or other platform restrictions.

8. Intellectual Property

The platform structure, design, branding, software, layout, and original platform content made available by TownConnect remain protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain responsibility for content you submit, but you grant the platform a non-exclusive right to host, store, display, reproduce, format, moderate, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, and protect the service.

9. Availability and Platform Changes

We may update, suspend, restrict, limit, or discontinue features, modules, content, integrations, or access at any time, with or without notice, especially during maintenance, moderation, development, testing, security work, or platform improvement.

10. Termination or Restriction

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform or specific features if we believe a user has violated these Terms, abused platform features, created risk for the community, acted dishonestly, or used the platform unlawfully or harmfully.

11. Disclaimer

TownConnect is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, absolute accuracy of user-submitted content, uninterrupted feature availability, or complete freedom from bugs, outages, moderation issues, or third-party service interruptions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TownConnect and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use the platform, user-generated content, business submissions, community interactions, promotions, rewards, or third-party services.
